First Festival
Under the title “Scotia School of Music Performance”, the first festival is held in May at the Sir James Dunn Theatre in Halifax, featuring cellist Lynn Harrell and pianist John Browning as guest artists. It is an instant success. The following year, it is renamed “Scotia Festival of Music”.
