Located in Halifax’s North End, The Music Room accommodates an audience of up to 105, houses a 9-foot New York-built Steinway grand piano (Model D) and features a 24-track digital audio mixer.
In addition to our regular Chamber Players Series, a few of the artists who have graced our stage include Philip Glass, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Myles Goodwyn, Basia Bulat, Jason Collett (Broken Social Scene), K-OS, Christopher Ward, Al Tuck, Michale Graves (Misfits), Rose Cousins, Denise Djokic and Jill Barber.
Fit for purpose.
With a maximum seating capacity of 105, The Music Room is infinitely flexible. We have hosted concerts, livestreams, lectures, recording sessions, meetings, film screenings, rehearsals, weddings, and more.
It’s a looker.
Winner of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Architecture, The Music Room combines elegant wood finishings with an eyecatching industrial aesthetic.
