Chamber Music at its best.
For over 40 years, we’ve brought incredible live classical music to Halifax and Nova Scotia audiences. From our namesake yearly festival, to our fall-winter concert series, and our beautiful concert hall, Scotia Festival offers something for everyone.
May 26 - June 8
Our primary event for over 40 years: an annual two-week chamber music festival held in Halifax, Nova Scotia during late spring, boasting over fifty public events. Featuring international talent of the highest caliber, the festival offers concerts, recitals, open rehearsals, masterclasses, coaching sessions, and more.
Our Young Artist Program allows young gifted musicians to enroll and study for two weeks with some of the world's best classical musicians.
September - April
When the festival is over, the music doesn’t stop: our Music Room Chamber Players Series runs from September to April each year, offering 20 fantastic and diverse classical music concerts. Purchase a subscription and experience all that this series has to offer.
The Music Room is our crown jewel: a beautifully-designed concert hall and events venue in Halifax which offers one of the finest spaces in Canada. It accommodates a maximum audience of 105 and houses a 9-foot New York-built Steinway grand piano (Model D).
The Music Room is a rental facility and can be rented for a variety of purposes: concerts, livestreams, rehearsals, recordings, meetings, seminars, weddings and more.
“SCOTIA FESTIVAL IS A LIVING THING.”
