Scotia Festival Goes Camping
The festival programs R. Murray Schafer’s environmental work Music for Wilderness Lake, featuring 12 trombones around a lake with the composer conducting from a barge in the middle. Audience members are bused to Camp Kidston in Middle Musquodoboit, where the first part of the concert happens at dusk, and camp out in tents to hear the second part of the work the following morning at dawn. Breakfast is served.
