MEET Dhara Fitzgerald, a 16-year-old jazz vocalist from Halifax. Her musical journey began at the age of 4, and at just 13, Dhara made her debut at the TD Halifax Jazz Festival in 2022 with a soulful performance accompanied by The Holly Arsenault Trio.

Guided by her voice coach Sharada Banman, Dhara has  developed her talents into a signature sound that sets her apart. Her unique musical identity draws inspiration from the melodies of the Great American Songbook and legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Etta James, and she finds solace in regularly tuning into CBC Radio Canada's "C'est si bon" with Claude Saucier.
