Tonight, we enter the unique world of Olivier Messiaen, one of the 20th Century’s most extraordinary composers. Internationally acclaimed soprano Jane Archibald will perform Messiaen’s ecstatic love songs to his first wife, then an all-star cast play the famous and deeply moving Quartet for the End of Time, written during a freezing winter in WWII when Messiaen was a prisoner-of-war in Silesia.
